Description
An ever-present hazard in sites such as smelters is the risk of burns resulting from splashes of hot material. Normal industrial clothing does not offer sufficient protection from these extreme conditions. Tests undertaken with materials such as cotton drill and Proban have revealed serious shortcomings in their fire resistance. These tests have shown that a unique fabric manufactured by leading textile manufacturer, Alliance Textiles, and known as PR97™ provides the best protection against intense heat and metal splashes. Our PR97™ shirt, trouser and overall are constructed from comfortable and breathable PR97™ flame, heat and splash resistant material in a number of weights, to provide comfort and safety whilst working in environments such as smelter potlines, wild-land firefighting and heavy industry.
