Edge Sleeveless Smelter Vest

This sleeveless, collarless, waist length zip front vest is manufactured from world-class leading edge 840 gsm thick 100% wool with a PFZ flame retardant treatment. It is designed to provide added protection for the worker using either our PR97™ FR or Kermel® FR shirts. Being 840 gsm 100% wool, it provides additional protection and is inherently flame retardant. The fabric provides outstanding splash resistance to molten aluminium, therefore adding that extra line of protection. Our PR97™ shirt, trouser and overall are constructed from comfortable and breathable PR97™ flame, heat and splash resistant material in a number of weights, to provide comfort and safety whilst working in environments such as smelter potlines, wild-land firefighting and heavy industry. The shirt has been specifically designed with features such as gusseted cuffs, a single button placket front and long shirt tail to help prevent burn injuries by completely eliminating exposed skin.

Edge PR97™ Industrial FR Trouser

The PR97™ fabric features of our shirt naturally carry over to our PR97™ trouser. When the garment set is combined, the worker is assured of excellent protection whilst working in potentially volatile environments. Our PR97™ trouser is constructed from comfortable, breathable and heavy-duty 320 gsm weight PR97™ flame, heat and splash resistant fabric. The garment is designed to withstand the most extreme conditions.

Our overall (coverall) garment is designed to provide the all-encompassing features of our PR97™ fabric shirt and trouser in the one garment set. Ideal for use in those extreme flame, heat and splash situations where almost full body and added protection is required. The garment features an overlap studded clip front to waist length with one chest pocket with flap closure and one open chest pocket with pen pocket. Edge Kermel® Industrial FR Shirt

The material used in our shirt, trouser and overall comprises Kermel® 70% meta aramid blended with 30% FR viscose. The chemical structure of Kermel® makes it inherently non-flammable and thermostable. The shirt has been specifically designed with features such as gusseted cuffs, a single button placket or full open buttoned front and long shirt tail to help prevent burn injuries by completely eliminating exposed skin. Kermel® blended fabric is used extensively by military forces, emergency services, firefighters, in the oil and gas industries, by electric utility personnel and in industries where there is a risk of exposure to acid, flame or heat.

Edge Emphatex® Breathable Jacket

Our specialised three-quarter-length jacket is manufactured from world-class Hi Vis, breathable, windproof and inherently waterproof Emphatex® fabric. It provides thermal protection and has application to a wide range of protective industrial work situations. Emphatex® garments are used in industries such as airports, emergency services, petrochemical/refineries and the military. Edge Emphatex® Breathable Trouser

The Emphatex® trouser fully compliments our three-quarter length jacket to make a complete work wear set capable of withstanding inclement weather situations.
