About Us ::
John "Grizzy" Grywacz In his early OSHA career as the OSHA Region II Training Director, John was responsible for various functions including: planning, development, and effectuation of training programs for OSHA personnel, State personnel, private sector groups, and other federal agencies. John also conducted numerous VPP audits and served as a VPP team leader.
John subsequently accepted a faculty position at the OSHA National Training
Institute and gave up
In his official capacity, John personally conducts safety and health training
programs and OSHA seminars from coast to coast as well as beyond
the continental borders of the U.S. training literally dozens of Federal
Agencies, Numerous State Agencies, State Plan Safety and Health Investigators,
corporate safety and health directors, and of course, OSHA compliance officers.
Some of the courses he has chaired and taught for OSHA include:
Electrical Standards, Electrical Safety Related Work Practices and NFPA 70E,
Electrical Power Generation Transmission and Distribution, OSHA 500 & 501 Train
the Trainer courses, OSHA 10 & 30 Hour Outreach courses, Machinery and Machine
Guarding Standards, Mechanical Power Press Guarding,
Introduction to Safety Standards for Safety
Officers, Inspection Techniques and Legal Aspects, Collateral Safety for Federal
Agencies, Occupational Safety and Health Course for Other Federal Agencies, as
well as numerous seminars for conferences and special events.
John has appeared as an expert witness for OSHA, and served as chief OSHA
investigator on complex electrical fatality investigations.
John trains OSHA compliance
officers in numerous areas including OSHA policy, safety and health
regulations, safety and health management systems, legal aspects
of investigations, and enforcement strategies. John has provided
forensic analysis on electrical
fatalities and accidents for OSHA and incidentally he has never lost an OSHA
case in his career. John is referred to as a National Electrical Code Historian
by the OSHA National Office and his electrical expertise has shaped OSHA policy
as well as the new OSHA Electrical Standard which just became effective in
August 2007.
John has provided curriculum design
assistance for numerous associations and academia and while in the private
sector John received special recognition by the National Association of Trade
and Technical Schools (NATTS) for precedent setting development and
implementation of state of the art competency based curriculum and
instructional media design.
